A Selection Advisory Committee, usually composed of three staff members from across different teams or departments, is responsible for assessing candidate suitability. The Position Description and Selection Criteria are used as a benchmark for assessing applications.

It is your responsibility to advise your referees that they will be contacted.  Only referees of shortlisted candidates will be contacted, after the interview.

Feedback

We appreciate that feedback is an important part of the recruitment process and valued by applicants.   Due to the volume of applications received, it is not possible to provide detailed feedback on all applications received, generally applicants not shortlisted for interview will be advised by email.

We generally invite all applicants to complete an equality and diversity questionnaire alongside their application.  Completion of the questionnaire is entirely voluntary.

The information collected is used solely for diversity monitoring purposes. Responses are anonymised and reported only in aggregated form. Individual responses are not visible to recruitment panels or those involved in assessing applications, and the data is not used in any recruitment decision-making.

Requests for Reasonable Adjustments

If you require any adjustments to be made to support you during the recruitment process, please make us aware. We will make all reasonable endeavours to accommodate you, so please let us know as soon as possible. If you are offered a job, you will have further opportunities to discuss ongoing adjustments before starting work.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence can be a useful tool to support your application, however, all examples and statements provided must be truthful, factually accurate and refer directly to your personal experience.

Where plagiarism is identified (presenting the ideas and experiences of others, or generated by artificial intelligence, as your own) applications may be rejected and internal applicants may be subject to disciplinary action.

Artificial intelligence must not be used to produce responses during an assessment or an interview.  If candidates are suspected of misusing AI during an interview the process may be suspended and your application may be rejected.

Your application and interview should provide us with an accurate picture of your skills and experiences. Misuse of AI undermines a fair merit-based selection process and is contrary to our values.
